    Further Information

Green Room Gardeners is a creative gardening group, initially supported by Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew as one of only 50 UK projects. Led by Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust and Brightsparks Arts - in partnership with Wildscapes (http://wildscapescoop.org.uk) the project is designed to boost health, wellbeing, self-esteem and confidence whilst enabling participants to develop horticultural skills, knowledge and experience, boost biodiversity and become ambassadors for the environment.

The group’s previous projects include the transformation of Attenborough Arts Centre’s Courtyard from a disused plot - into a green ‘amphitheatre’ garden open to all for relaxation and performances - with UK native plants and wildflowers, visual art and poetry. Now based at Clarendon Allotments, the Green Room Gardeners are currently developing a new community plot for the purpose of eco-friendly food production, research and development.
